Living alone and in another country can take its toll and lately I have been feeling that stress.  So what do I do to alleviate that feeling?  I color.  Yup.  You read that right.  I color.  

Even before the whole adult coloring book bandwagon came rolling into town, I already loved coloring.  I would buy coloring books in bookstores and just color the afternoon away, mostly during Holy Week and Christmas Break. My dad would tease me saying that I never outgrew crayons and I would say its ART! its THERAPY! but he would just tease me more.  But now that there are adult coloring books then yay for me!  Woohoo! I can now tell my dad that its not a kid's thing, its an ADULT thing now (nyahahahaha!).

When I came home last June for a short vacation, it was really hard to find these coloring books.  Major bookstores are out of stock so when I found two titles in Shanghai I was ecstatic!  

My friend, Yna, also got me one in Manila and gave it to me during her visit here last week:

When we went back to HCM, I was even happier to find that publishers released local versions of some adult coloring books here, and cheaper too!  The titles are in Vietnamese though, but its okay, I'm more excited into coloring the pages :)

The art supplies here in HCM are cheaper as compared to Manila, so I went out and bought some colored pencils and crayons.

So here are some of the things I did so far:

Maghintay sa isang bagay

Na wala namang kasiguraduhang  may patutunguhan

Nakakapagod

Umasa sa pagkakataon at sa tadhana

Dahil ang binibigay nila ay patuloy na pasakit at luha

Nakakapagod

Makaramdam ng wala kang magawa, kungdi tumingin sa kawalan,

Utak ay lumilipad, puso’y nagsusumamong ika’y magisnan

Ngunit mas gugustuhin kong mapagod nang paulit-ulit

Dumanas ng lungkot hirap at pasakit

Kung ito and ito lamang ang natatanging paraan

Para sa hinaharap ay makasama ka nang walang hanggan.

Bakit ganun?

Kung kelan abot kamay na kita

Bigla ka na namang mawawala?

Bakit ganun?

Kung kelan nasilayan ko na sa wakas ang iyong mukha

Haharangan pa tayo ng tadhana?

Bakit ganun?

Ang buong akala ko’y mayayakap na kita

Pero hanggang panaginip pa din pala

Bakit ganun?

Sadyang mailap ang tamang panahon

Kung kelan naman ang puso ko’y bulong na nang bulong

“Bakit ganun?” sabi nya

“Dapat makapiing mo na sya”

Kaya ganun na lang ang aking lungkot

At hanggang ngayon kahit kamay mo’y hindi ko maabot.

Ilan?

Ilang araw nang paikot-ikot ka

Sa isip ko, sa aking puso at diwa.

Ilang araw nang hindi ka nakikita

Nag-aalala, nangangalu-mata.

Ilang gabi nang tulog ay di ko makamtan

Batid ko’y dadalawin lang nya ako pag ika’y akin nang nahagkan.

Ilang oras na akong nag-iisip, nangangarap

Kelan bang tunay na pagkikita nati’y magaganap?

Ngunit kahit ilang beses pang dapat pagdaanan

Ang hirap na ngayo’y aking pasan-pasan.

Kung ang kapalit nama’y ating walang hanggan

Gagawin at tatanggapin kong ulit ang lahat ng iyan.

Apart

One hallway, two hearts, souls reaching out

Smiles cannot be contained, cannot be faked

Eyes shining bright, excited,  glad.

His Hand on his chest, hers on her face,

Is that really her? Is it really him?

Feet walking slowly, taking its sweet time

Eyes were locked, as they were taking each other in.

The world faded, as they drew closer,

There was no one else in that space, only him and her.

A few steps apart, almost there,

Then, just like that, everything shattered.

Seems like their time to be together has not yet come,

Destiny said “At least not now”.

But that minute in each others’ presence

Just made it worth their time apart

Soon, their hearts whispered…

Soon, forever will be ours.
