We Are Young (Fun)

Give me a second I
I need to get my story straight
My friends are in the bathroom
getting higher than the Empire State
My lover's been waiting for me
just across the bar
My seats' been taken by some sunglasses
asking 'bout a scar
and I know I gave it to you months ago
I know you're trying to forget
but between the drinks and the subtle things
the holes in my apologies
you know I'm trying hard to take it back

so if by the time the bar closes
and you feel like falling down
I'll carry you home

Tonight
We are are young
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun
Tonight
We are are young
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

Now I know that I'm not
all that you got
I guess that I
I just thought maybe we could find new ways to fall apart
But our friends are back
So let's raise a toast
Cause I found someone to carry me home

Tonight
We are are young
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun
Tonight
We are are young
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

Carry me home tonight
Just carry me home tonight
Carry me home tonight
Just carry me home tonight
The world is on my side
I have no reason to run
So will someone come and carry me home tonight

The angels never arrived
But I can hear the choir
so will someone come and carry me home

Tonight
We are are young
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun
Tonight
We are are young
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

So if by the time the bar closes
And you feel like falling down
I'll carry you home tonight

mama and milk tea

I recently introduced mama to milk tea.  She was kinda skeptical to try it at first, but since I was really makulit and kept telling her to just try one, she finally gave in.  We were in Gateway Mall last Sunday and I was looking  forward to my milk tea fix in Chatime.  When mama finally said she will try one, we then had a long discussion as to what drink she will get.  I said lets start you off with the basic milk tea. But, she was kinda on the fence on the taste factor, she was a bit worried if she would like it or not. So I said lets just get flavored milk tea first.  We went back and forth if she wanted red bean, taro, even banana.  My mom is not adventurous when it comes to eating so I need to explain a lot of things to her before she agrees to taste something.  Finally, she agreed to try the Lychee Milk tea.  I went in line while she looked for a seat.  When she finally got her drink, i was very happy that she enjoyed it :)

I got a Large Pearl Milk Tea and my afternoon was complete ! :) hahahaha! :P

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
and Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it

Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life;
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Amen

Photo A Day Challenge (March 5 - 14)

I missed my weekend blog update since I was up and about last Sunday doing some errands.  I also had some "me" time and spent the afternoon looking for a book that I wanted to get my hands on for two weeks now, but I still can't find a copy.  The book is called The Collected Works of John Carter Volume 1.  Volumes 2 and 3 are quite abundant, but Book 1 is kinda hard to find now, especially since the movie, John Carter, is now showing in the theaters.  I guess a lot of people took an interest to the book due to the good movie reviews ( I know, since that is one part of the reason why I want to get my hands on a copy of the book, well aside from literary reasons and the hunger for a good read... ehem...*insert intellectual nod here*).  AND even if I already reserved a copy in one branch of Fully Booked I still went around some stores to see if I can find a copy faster :P.  The  thing with this book is, it seems that it is only available in Fully Booked and not in the other bookstores (bummer!), thus, the harder it is to find ... thus, the more I want one! grrrr....  Enough of my book addiction for now, and before this blog entry's title is changed to "My Futile Adventure to Finding John Carter", I should start posting my Photo A Day challenge pictures for March 5 - 14 :P.  Here they are:

5.  A Smile

Whew! Finished! :)  on to next week's Photo A Day Challenge! and on to my continuous search for the elusive John Carter Book (hope I find one soon!)

up and about with the girls

My cousins Ghina and Regine and I went out a few times this week.  These two girls are like my sisters and spending time with them is just pure happiness :).  Here are some of the pics we got during our weekly eat outs and going around thingies :

A. Midweek Dinner Out at Eastwood
     We met up for dinner in Eastwood last Wednesday since I needed to go there to get a bag I reserved at Bratpack.  During dinner, there was a little girl behind our table (who Ghina keeps calling Jaden, since she looks like Jaden Smith, who we pointed out is a boy, bit she ignored us :P) who literally keeps popping up from behind whenever Ghina takes our picture.  We were trying to stop ourselves from laughing so hard once we saw the series of pictures she took. Jaden's parents might hear us :P.  Check these out:

We finally got one without her in it, though:

B.  Errands Errands and takaw mode
     We went out again yesterday to do some errands.  I got a new Postpaid phone plan from Globe by the way, with a free Blackberry Curve :) yey!  i spent a few hours on my new toy today trying to figure out how that thing works :P
     Ghina was more excited with the phone than I was, we ended up buying accessories for it right after I got the phone.  I also got her yellow kicker earphones as a belated birthday present.  We ended up eating dinner at Tokyo Tokyo (yup, japanese again) and since we were all hungry by then, we ate A LOT :P  we didn't have room for Magnum Ice Cream after (this was the sad part of my day).
     We went back to our place and watched episodes of The Voice since all three of us looooove Adam Levine (he's so cute!!!) and after an hour or two, the girls went home.

C.  Sunday Surprise at Banapple
     Ghina had a sudden craving for Banapple and she picked me up from the mall while I was doing some more errands.  We had an early dinner there and talked and talked and talked.  Here's what we ate:

Baked Cheesy Penne

Chicken Parmigiano

     Of course, Ghina ate rice :P but she still insists that she is now on a diet.  We were supposed to have coffee or tea after, but were sooooo full.  We also had a slice of Snicker Fudge Cheesecake ... so yummy! :)  My week ended with yummy food and good conversation, it more than made up for the bad part of my week :P

Photo A Day Challenge (March 1-4)
